Course Description – 3 hour class Applied law in our country consists not only of regulated or legislative laws but also of case law. Once a decision is handed down by court, that decision becomes the interpretation of the law. We need to know about those decisions to help us avoid lawsuits and other uncomfortable consequences. The Arkansas Real Estate Commission regularly holds hearings and enforces consequences when agents or brokers are acting in violation of the regulations. The subjects and outcomes of these hearings are important to everyone practicing real estate in the state of Arkansas. In this class we will examine both applicable case law in the 8th Circuit Court and AREC Hearings and findings and how they apply to our practices.
